We’re here to help
Eagle House Group supports and educates children and young people with a diagnosis of autism, Asperger syndrome and social & communication disorders. Our pupils and their autism are central to everything we do, as are you; their families. We recognise the importance of working closely with you, as we understand just how tough it can be to have a child with autism.
We believe that our support shouldn’t simply start and finish at the school gates, so with this in mind, we have developed an exciting programme of training sessions and workshops to help you with practical advice and fresh ideas to use in your own home. Don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before, you won’t be the only one! We understand this and make sure that our workshops are fun, informative, but also sociable occasions giving you the opportunity to be with other families who understand the glorious highs and difficult lows of bringing up a child with autism.
Our workshops are open to any family who has a child with an autism spectrum disorder as well as to our families who have a child attending one of our schools. We want to help you to develop your understanding of autism, the issues surrounding it and to give you ideas for supporting your child at home, so come and join us at one of our
What we can offer
Our workshops are open to any family who has a child with an autism spectrum disorder as well as to our families who have a child attending one of our schools. We want to help you to develop your understanding of autism, the issues surrounding it and to give you ideas for supporting your child at home, so come and join us at one of our informal sessions and we will give you ideas on how to enjoy family life to the full.
Details of forthcoming workshops are constantly updated so please keep coming back.
Each workshop will help to find answers and discover new solutions whilst helping them to find out:
- more about their child’s autism
- what they can do to support them
- how they can teach their child the essential life skills that other children seem to simply “pick up”
- and generally to just understand them better
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the session today. What a lovely group of staff, so patient and open and willing to help/advise. It’s made me feel a lot less alone. I’m the only mum in my group parenting a child with SEN and it can feel very isolating. Today made me feel much more supported and clearer about the way ahead. Thank you”
This introductory series of FREE workshops is aimed at supporting families of Early Years children, from toddlers to 6 years old, who may have recently been diagnosed with autism or Asperger syndrome.
