Eagle House School, Mitcham is a ‘good’ (Ofsted Nov 2019) broad spectrum special school for pupils aged from 4 to 12 years who have a diagnosis of autism or Asperger Syndrome. We have a warm, mutually supportive and caring ethos with an enthusiastic and skilled staff team that is highly aspirational and committed to pupil welfare, progress and enhanced life chances.

Due to the rising numbers of parents seeking to place their children at our school we need high quality SEN teachers to meet this demand. Applicants must have specialist knowledge and experience of teaching children with autism, either from working in a special school, or from working in a mainstream school that has excellent ASD practice and provision. We will provide you with a full induction programme and outstanding training in autism practice to develop your skills further.

If successful, you will be responsible for teaching a class of 4 to 6 pupils assisted by a minimum of 3 Learning Support Assistants. Your responsibilities will include line managing your LSAs, planning schemes of work with your teaching colleagues, setting PDP (IEP) targets, delivering high quality lessons and assessing pupils’ achievement and progress.

Eagle House School (Mitcham) is part of the Eagle House Group of Schools. We are an independent co-educational day provision for students between the ages of 4 and 11 with an autistic spectrum disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome and social communication difficulties.

This exciting opportunity is for a committed and enthusiastic School Administrator to join our school team. The successful candidate will assist with supporting day-to-day administration of our busy school office. You must be flexible, adaptable, reliable, willing to learn and able to work as part of a team.

The role will involve:

  • Being the first point of contact for all staff, parents and visitors in the school.
  • Providing a comprehensive and efficient front office / admin service to the school.
  • Ensuring all visitors are received and welcomed professionally and efficiently.
  • Extensive use of our Schools Information Management Systems for pupil data
  • Overseeing school budgets and resource spending

Do you possess:

  • Excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligence, reliance and flexibility
  • Excellent organisation skills to ensure that systems are in place to facilitate the smooth running of the school.

Full / part time, Term time plus 4 weeks for 43 weeks per annum

Eagle House Group is an independent co-educational day provision for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19, providing education for pupils who have an autistic spectrum disorder and related conditions including Social, emotional and mental health needs. We have a warm, mutually supportive and caring ethos with an enthusiastic and skilled staff team that is highly aspirational and committed to pupil welfare, progress and enhanced life chances.

We are seeking Band 6 Occupational Therapists (with at least 4 years relevant post graduate experience or a Band 5 that has gained the required experience to progress to a Band 6) wishing to work in a school setting, to join our multi-disciplinary team comprising of speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, behavioural specialist and psychology. The role would suit one full time candidate working across two sites or a part time candidate at each school.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who:

  • Is highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Has experience working with children and young people with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams in school environments
  • Is seeking to further develop their skills and knowledge in working with young people with Autism
  • Has knowledge of the National Curriculum and statutory requirement of EHCPs
  • Must have HPC Registration, be a member of BAOT, hold a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and have Pediatric experience.
  • Has experience of providing clinical supervision and in leading on service development projects
  • Is qualified up to SI3 or has good knowledge and skills in sensory integration

Main responsibilities will involve:

  • Group and individual therapy and class-based work
  • Carrying out assessments where required
  • Delivering in-service training where required
  • Strong MDT approach
