Eagle House School (Mitcham) is an independent specialist day school for young people aged 4 to 11 years with an autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome and associated social & communication difficulties.

We are currently seeking a part time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist wishing to work in a school setting, to join our multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour support specialists and assistant psychologists. You will be required to work on a part time basis (8.15am to 4.15pm, 2 days a week) plus 10 days during the school holidays. Supervision and opportunities for CPD will be provided and based on annual appraisal reviews.

Main responsibilities will involve:

  • Assessment and intervention planning
  • Group and individual therapy as required
  • Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
  • Curriculum development
  • Report writing and record keeping

 

We are looking for Speech & Language Therapist who are:

  • Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome and Social, emotional and mental health need is desirable
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is RCSLT and HCPC registered
  • Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

 Eagle House School (Mitcham) is an independent specialist co-educational day school providing primary and early year’s education for learners, aged 4 to 11 years with an autism spectrum disorder (including Aspergers syndrome) and associated social and communication difficulties. Many of our learners have complex needs and behaviour associated with their autism.

We are currently seeking reliable, hard -working and flexible Learning Support Assistant’s to join our established specialist autism primary school including our early years team.

 The position will involve:

  • Supporting Class teachers to offer a broad-based, appropriate curriculum
  • Assisting with the supervision of children outside of classroom activities e.g. meal times and recreation times

 We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have:

  • an understanding of/interest in autism
  • experience of working with children or vulnerable adults in an education or care setting
  • an ability to work as part of a team and to use their initiative to support and implement the Eagle House approach to helping pupils who have a range of needs associated with having autism
  • a passion for supporting children to help them manage their challenging behaviours and an ability to stay very calm in challenging situations
  • GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths

 Hours will be Monday to Thursday 8.15am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm, during term time only.

Eagle House School (Mitcham) is part of the Eagle House Group of Schools. We are an independent co-educational day provision for students between the ages of 4 and 11 with an autistic spectrum disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome and social communication difficulties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Lunchtime/Playground Supervisor to join our proactive and creative school team. The successful candidate will assist and support pupils during their lunchtimes and supervise playground activities.

The position will involve:

  • Supporting lunchtime – pupils with autism find lunchtimes a difficult time and require structured activity.
  • Keeping pupils occupied during their lunch break.
  • Supervising pupils in the playground
  • Organising games/play equipment
  • Supporting pupils during lunchtime and cleaning up after then pupils when they have eaten.

 We are looking for Lunchtime Supervisors who have:

  • an understanding of/interest in autism
  • experience of working with children in an education or care setting would be desirable
  • an ability to work as part of a team
  • good communications skills are a must
  • a calm, patient manner and ability to react positively to behavioral responses
  • a hobby or interest that you can share with our pupils would be an amazing opportunity to inspire them as they enjoy IT, board games, football and have a host of special interests.
  • Full Training will be given

We are seeking Band 6 Occupational Therapists (with at least 4 years relevant post graduate experience or a Band 5 that has gained the required experience to progress to a Band 6) wishing to work in a school setting, to join our multi-disciplinary team comprising of speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, behavioural specialist and psychology. The role would suit one full time candidate working across two sites or a part time candidate at each school.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who:

  • Is highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Has experience working with children and young people with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams in school environments
  • Is seeking to further develop their skills and knowledge in working with young people with Autism
  • Has knowledge of the National Curriculum and statutory requirement of EHCPs
  • Must have HPC Registration, be a member of BAOT, hold a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and have Pediatric experience.
  • Has experience of providing clinical supervision and in leading on service development projects
  • Is qualified up to SI3 or has good knowledge and skills in sensory integration

Main responsibilities will involve:

  • Group and individual therapy and class-based work
  • Carrying out assessments where required
  • Delivering in-service training where required
  • Strong MDT approach
