Eagle House School (Bramley), situated in Walton on the Hill, Surrey, offers a highly specialised therapeutic provision for up to 36 pupils aged 5-16 years who have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and additional social, emotional and mental health needs, moderate learning difficulties, mental health difficulties, PDA and ADHD.

Our key aim is to ensure that the pupils will be able to engage, learn and to be happy and settled in the environment of a school. The admission arrangements for our pupils can be found on our website within the admission policy.

Set in the delightful village of Walton on the Hill, the school benefits from an abundance of internal and external space including opportunities for outdoor learning and play. Our specialist learning zones will provide space for both small group learning and individual teaching. The school has a sports hall; a social dining room where fresh and healthy lunches will be provided by our school chef; facilities for art, science and play therapy, and opportunities for community activities both within the village and the neighbouring area.

Situated within minutes of the M25, the school will welcome pupils from a range of Local Authorities. The community facilities of Sutton, Epsom and Croydon, are within easy reach via school/ public transport.

SITE MAINTENANCE OFFICER

SALARY £20-24k – working 40 hours per week

Mon to Thurs 07.00 – 11.30am and then 14.30 – 18.00pm

and on Fri and Fri 07.00 – 10.30 and then 13.30 – 18.00

We are looking for a Site Maintenance Officer to support our ongoing exciting development. Eagle House School (Bramley) opened in September 2019 as part of Eagle House Group’s established and highly specialised provisions for children with Autism and related conditions. Bramley school offers a specialist education for pupils aged 5-16 who, in addition to their high functioning ASD, present with complex SEMH needs. This discrete provision provides a therapeutic based curriculum and a strong focus on multidisciplinary working.

We are looking to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer looking for a new challenge. This is a flexible role that aims to support the Headteacher to ensure the smooth running of the school with a particular emphasis on the health and safety of all staff, learners and visitors.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for:-

  • Day to day management and maintenance of the school’s buildings and surrounding grounds to ensure the smooth running of the facility as a whole.
  • Maintaining the compliance processes for Fire safety and health and safety
  • Responsible for attending call outs, attending to maintenance requests, day to day repairs and to liaise with contractors
  • When required, to provide support to the provision which may include support to learners in classrooms, with activities, and off site visits.
  • General administration and Reception cover duties as necessary.

 We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A good understanding of H&S standards and procedures
  • Willing to undergo H&S related training (IOSH) as necessary to carry out your role effectively.
  • A good level of practical general repairs skills with the ability to respond and attend to simple maintenance requests around the site to ensure site security and health and safety compliance
  • Excellent and efficient organisational skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised
  • A high understanding of autistic spectrum disorders and relevant experience of working in this environment
  • Hold a full clean UK driving license with a D1 entitlement.
  • Patient, understanding and have a passion for supporting young people to help them manage the barriers presented by their ASD

Full Time, Term time plus 4 weeks per annum

Position to commence: 1st September 2021

Eagle House Group is an independent co-educational day provision for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19, providing education for pupils who have an autistic spectrum disorder and related conditions including Social, emotional and mental health needs. We are currently recruiting a Band 5/6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our in-house Curriculum Access Team (CA Team) in Eagle House School (Sutton) and and Eagle House 6th Form (Strawberry Lodge).

Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals includes speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour support specialists and assistant psychologists. The successful candidate will be required to work between the hours of 8.15am to 4.15pm, Mon-Fri, term time plus four weeks during the school holidays.

Main responsibilities will involve:

  • Assessment and intervention planning
  • Group and individual therapy as required
  • Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
  • Curriculum development
  • Report writing and record keeping

We are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist who is:

  • Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome and Social, emotional and mental health need is desirable
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is RCSLT and HCPC registered
  • Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
