FAMILY SUPPORT OFFICER

Salary: £25-£28k (depending on experience)

Term time plus 4 weeks

Position to commence: Summer Term 2019 or earlier

We are looking for an exceptional communicator to join our new and exciting development. Eagle House School (Bramley) will open in September 2019 as part of Eagle House Group’s established and highly specialised provisions for children with Autism and related conditions. Our newest provision will offer a specialist education for pupils aged 5-16 who, in addition to their high functioning ASD, present with complex SEMH needs. This discrete provision will provide a therapeutic based curriculum and a strong focus on multidisciplinary working.

Do you have a background in either the Health, Social Care or Education sectors with a focus on family work? Are you a creative, dynamic and a reflective practitioner looking for an opportunity to have a positive impact? This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role, directly supporting families whose children attend the school.

The role will involve:

  • Providing a range of support and advice for parents, carers and families of pupils within the school.
  • To act as the key liaison between the school and the home.
  • To manage a caseload of families whose children are experiencing difficulties in the areas of school attendance, home related issues or at points of family or pupil crisis
  • To be a member of the school safeguarding team and liaise with other external agencies and professionals who are involved with the pupils.

Do you posses:

  • Excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligence, reliance and flexibility
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a key member within a professional multi-disciplinary team
  • A responsive, highly approachable attitude and the ability to support families through challenging periods.

Salary: £20,000-£26,000 subject to experience and qualification

Salary: Inner London Leadership Scale, subject to experience

Position to commence: Summer Term 2019 or earlier

Our newest provision will offer a specialist education for pupils aged 5-16 who, in addition to their high functioning ASD, present with complex SEMH needs. Are you a creative, dynamic and a reflective practitioner looking for an opportunity to have a positive impact? Do you have high expectations of yourself, your colleagues and your pupils? As Assistant Head you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team with an area of teaching responsibility. You will drive the educational excellence of the school and develop staff to achieve the highest possible standards in teaching and learning.

 

You will need to:

  • Be an experienced primary class teacher with a passion for raising children’s attainment
  • Have a proven record of strong management and leadership skills
  • Have experience of leading a subject or key stage
  • Be able to inspire, challenge and motivate
  • Have the confidence, skills and abilities to lead and manage others
  • Be an excellent communicator with high levels of emotional intelligence, reliance and flexibility
  • Be aware of processes involving child protection and safeguarding and committed to working in partnership with multi agencies
