workshops for parents

Getting started workshops

This ‘Introduction to Autism’ series of FREE workshops

is aimed at supporting families of Early Years and primary school children, who may have recently been diagnosed with autism or Asperger syndrome.

These 7 interactive workshops not only look into the ‘whys’ and ‘wherefores’ of autism, but also give you practical advice and ideas on how to support your child in developing all of those all important life skills – especially if they are about to start, or have already started nursery or primary school.

Our workshops are packed full of practical activities that you can start to practice with your child from the moment you get home.

These practical workshops are delivered by Eagle House experts, who have many years experience in working with young children. The multidisciplinary team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Specialists share their experience and expertise to provide practical and fun strategies for use by families in the home environment.

Each stand-alone workshop uses demonstration and video footage, looking at how to help you in the areas that you find most challenging. They will give you the confidence you need to not only support your child in the right way, but also to have fun together in your own home.
