Last term, pupils from Eagle House School, Sutton – Strawberry Lodge Sixth Form rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into some serious gardening, helping the Dr George Rice Community Garden project.

As part of the project, pupils helped clear an overgrown piece of land in the centre of Sutton to create a garden for the local community to enjoy as well as a social orchard. They also saw further potential in a space and got to work again and created an allotment space. 

In addition to all the above, they finalised the project with a memorial wall to commemorate the key workers in the NHS.
